Full Day of Birding

Item Number: 175
Time Left: CLOSED
Description
A full day of birding in the Albuquerque area will be provided by BRANT (Birding Research and Nature Tours), a locally based company formed by local experts. The guide for the day will be Raymond VanBuskirk, who has been engaged in birding and serious research since his early teens. Both are leaders of Central New Mexico Audubon Society (Raymond serves as president), and have pursued their passion for birds in New Mexico, much of the western USA and also abroad.
BRANT will work with the winning bidder to determine a mutually convenient date. Depending on the time of year and weather, birding sites to be visited will be along the Rio Grande River, in the Albuquerque foothills, and at select places in the Sandia Mountains.
In addition to guide services, transportation and lunch will be provided. In past years, Ken Cole, chairperson of NM Wild, an experienced international birder with over 7,300 species on his life list, has also participated, and schedules permitting, will participate again this year.
