Aaron Winston has a Master’s of Fine Arts in Printmaking from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. While there he began studying a traditional Japanese method of throwing porcelain. After several years of study, and upon finishing his degree, Aaron moved to San Diego and worked with an industrial designer developing a line of porcelain service pieces for the restaurant, Alinea, in Chicago. In San Diego, he apprenticed and became good friends with, Master Potter, Kouta Shimazaki. After coming to Boulder 7 years ago, he first volunteered and then began teaching at the City of Boulder Pottery Lab.
