3 REAL Returning BOOMERANGS from NM's only Boomerang-chero and KUNM host, Adam Aguirre!

Item Number: 417
Time Left: CLOSED

Description
10,000 years ago the sport weapon of aborigines and egyptians, then touristy cultural curiosity that did not even fly, finally relegated to the modern day "rainman's" hobby of choice, boomerangs have returned from obscurity with a vengeance! Old style wooden boomers meet modern poly-carbonates to produce the 'rangs you see, and then some. Oh, my collection is truly limitless: hundreds in any color, size, shape, handedness you desire: sombrero, dog, dolphin, snake and women's leg shapes to please the eye and reclaim any giant park.
The stringed kite? The flying disc? The ball? Ah! Those for people who can't handle "me" time. These 'rangs come in friendship and offer a gateway into another flying dimension. Collect all 400! You'll be back!
Like the woman in the shoe, so many boomerangs just for you! Choose any 3 boomerangs from my personal collection, each hand-made by me. These are returning 'rangs, not those cheap imitations knows as "sticks." One throw, and you'll be coming back for more. It's an addiction you can finally afford. Get others hooked!
Choose 3 'rangs! And, if you act now, I will include one throwing session, unlimited time, with NM's only boomerang-chero! Que mas quieres?
Adam Aguirre and Aguirre Conquista
An interest in art, music, and science-based weapons and toys such as boomerangs, catapults, samurai body armor, and in the ability to accurately replicate such items by hand, at home, has inspired many personal creations, but as fascinating and rewarding as it has been to research and re-create these tools, weapons and toys has been learning how to do so from the artists and craftspeople who keep artistic tradition and authenticity alive and relevant.
Along with his booerang prowess, Adam is the Host of Route 66 and a member of the KUNM Raices Collective.
Adam joined the Raices Collective in Aug. 2005 because he wanted to meet the people behind the great shows that had been the soundtrack to life with his kids. He quickly learned that each member and the Collective as a whole does more than just play music: each show is an opportunity to enrich, educate, enlighten the community by presenting the variety of people, traditions, and values that are part of a larger Latino culture, and each Raices member does so in his/her own unique way. The challenge is to seek out those ideas, agenda, and leaders, and present them in a fresh, relevant, fair and accurate light, every week. Adam know's that the Raices Collective strives for and accomplishes this overall goal, and hopes that he has contributed, even in a small way, to helping the Collective do this at KUNM. It is his privilege to be part of the Raices Collective.
Adam created Aguirre Conquista as a way to organize and simplify the interactions, connections, collections behind what at first was nothing more than an interest in fun historical tools and toys and in acquiring the skills and knowledge to make them at home for fun, for school projects, even just for the sheer joy of creating them. Today, actually creating them for personal enjoyment or at the request of others for their collections has produced many unusual, one-off items, many of which are offered for sale. But mass-producing them or selling them by the hundreds has never been the measure of success or of fun. The goal for me has been and remains in learning, collaborating, creating, and in keeping the art of hand-making science-based weapons and toys alive, fun and local, one creation at a time.
Your choice of material, wood, acrylite, makrolon, pvc, chicharron...some you never thought possible, choice of shapes, colors, 3 boomerangs, all proven returners, all original, hand-crafted/-finished to my exacting standards for NM conditions.
