The Chicago Premiere of THE LANGUAGE ARCHIVE
George is a linguist who has devoted his life to preserving dying languages, while he and his wife Mary struggle to communicate. His assistant Emma yearns to express her love for him, while an elderly couple who are the last to speak their language threaten its extinction by refusing to speak to one other. Piven alumna Polly Noonan makes her Piven directorial debut with Julia Cho’s elegant and poignant story about how we find the words to speak the language of love.

Ivanov is a compelling tale of loss and the insatiable struggle to regain one's former glory. A member of the Russian elite, Ivanov is in debt and sinking fast. Complicating matters, he has lost his love for his dying wife and has become possessed by passion for a younger woman. Will this Chekhovian Hamlet breach the boundaries of reason and lose his willingness to be?
Piven is delighted to welcome back director Joyce Piven with her stunningly re-imagined look at one of Anton Chekhov’s rarely staged, yet most pertinent dramas.

It is preferable that all winning bidders whom reside in the vicinity of the theatre, pick up their auction item at Raven – 6157 North Clark Street, Chicago 60660 on SATURDAY MARCH 8, 2014 from 9:30AM to 2:00PM – so as not to incur shipping expenses. Please bring your ID as it will be required.
If a winning bidder is unable to pick up their merchandise, Raven will work with that individual to arrange delivery, which however may result in a shipping charge no matter the size of the item which will be the responsibility of the winning bidder. It should be noted that the majority of items in the online auction are gift cards and therefore, shipping charges will be minimal. Raven will work with winning bidders to ensure that this process is as seamless as possible.
