Purchase this incredible item and you and 11 friends will get to see the Shedd Aquarium from the perspective of their animal care staff during a private 50-minute guided behind-the-scenes tour. At the animal healthcare center, you’ll see how preventive care and innovative water-quality practices keep the animals healthy. Then you’ll go behind the galleries to view the aquarium from a new angle, see where nutritious meals are prepared for some of the 32,500 animals that call the Shedd home and witness the Shedd Aquarium at work. This item not only includes the tour, but also express entry and admission to all exhibits, a ticket to the aquatic show and the special exhibit, Jellies.

Special Instructions

Participants must be 55 inches or taller. Children must be at least 10 years old. Children ages 10 to 15 must be accompanied by a participating adult.THIS IS STRICTLY ENFORCED AND PARTICIPANTS WILL BE TURNED AWAY IF THEY DO NOT MEET THESE REQUIREMENTS!

Please note that the Shedd woud prefer that that there be ONE ADULT CHAPERONE per every five kids (age 10-15). For example, if the children are all under 15, then there would need to be 2 adults present. On the flip side, if the kids are 16 or older, then one adult is sufficient.

Tours may only be scheduled Friday, Saturday, or Sunday at 11:00am, 1:00pm or 3:00pm OR any day of the week from March 14th through April 20th and June 20th through August 31st.

Date and time must be mutually agreed upon by winning bidder and the Shedd Aquarium staff. Date and time are subject to availability, therefore, tour must be scheduled with the Shedd well in advance of desired date.

THIS ITEM MUST BE PICKED-UP OR SHIPPED (please read below)

It is preferable that all winning bidders whom reside in the vicinity of the theatre, pick up their auction item at Raven – 6157 North Clark Street, Chicago 60660on SATURDAY MARCH 8, 2014 from 9:30AM to 2:00PM – so as not to incur shipping expenses. Please bring your ID as it will be required.

If a winning bidder is unable to pick up their merchandise, Raven will work with that individual to arrange delivery, which however may result in a shipping charge no matter the size of the item which will be the responsibility of the winning bidder. It should be noted that the majority of items in the online auction are gift cards and therefore, shipping charges will be minimal. Raven will work with winning bidders to ensure that this process is as seamless as possible.
