About Us

My products and the artwork that I put on them express my love of gardening, nature and design. It is a joy to be able to use or wear products which are artistic at the same time as they are functional. That is my thought behind creating products and bringing them to you here directly.

In 1989 I started my designing and manufacturing business, Liz Lauter Designs in my garage in Kentfield, California, north of San Francisco after my father-in-law bet me a nickel that I couldn't sell my hand painted placemats, aprons and canvas director chairs to GUMPS in San Francisco. Gumps at the time was the exclusive downtown boutique department store specializing in fine china, jewelry, home accessories from the Orient, and fine artisan home accessories. Well, I did and my display was in the window for 2 months. That was the beginning of my adventure which grew into screen printed garden and gourmet wearable textiles which I sold nationally in gift, garden, and gourmet shops and national catalogs.

All of my screen prints are from my paintings and drawings and a close working involvement in the printing and production process. I have always prided my company's reputation of quality design with product quality to match, so my products are durable as well as useful.

My product line now is limited and varied and will at times include one of a kind pieces that I make myself.

My online store is designed to provide you with a safe and secure environment to browse our product catalog.
