Baseball in Chicago is not a season, it is a tradition that has been alive for generations. From Rogers Park to Hyde Park, Chicagoans of all ages hit the diamonds every spring, summer and fall to enjoy and compete in our beloved pastime. The Lil Sluggers Program is designed to prepare kids ages 2 through 7, for their journey into organized team play by improving and developing their social and physical skills both on and off the field.
Lil Sluggers is an instructional program that focuses on the fundamental skills needed to be successful in baseball, while creating a fun environment that will help your child foster a real love for the game. Basics such as throwing, catching, hitting, fielding and base running are the core of the curriculum. Classes and coach-pitch instructional leagues will build confidence, while recognizing the importance of teamwork, cooperation and helping others.
