GCSAA scholarship, environmental awards, GSCAA education, conference & trade show, and peer networking are just a few of the many ways that GCSAA has benefited Jimmy Thomas, CGCS. Jimmy Thomas, former golf course superintendent and owner of Photography by JT and JT Landscape, is pleased to donate photography service to the GIS Silent Auction as an effort to give a little something back to an association that has meant much to his career.

Photography service will be four hours maximum. Service must be provided in one visit. Four hour time may include some time for editing and correcting photographs on the computer. Feel free to email me if you want to find out if your job can be done within the time restraints.

• Images will be delivered to you by way of an online album, such as Dropbox.


• To minimize my travel expenses, location of the donated service must be limited to the State of Texas or Mexico City.  Travel time and all travel related expenses are donated by JT if your job is in the above described areas. Mexico City work should be discussed by email or phone before you bid. I will be selective about where and what type photos I take in Mexico.


• If you have an unique photo shoot location or idea, I may be willing to donate the service outside of the areas mentioned above.  Feel free to e-mail me your ideas for approval before you bid.


• If you are bidding on the service for an event on a specific day, I recommend that you confirm with me by e-mail that I am available on the desired day.

Possible Photo Shoot Ideas and my Level of Experience

• I am very comfortable with professional meeting and conference type photography, social events like employee Christmas parties or employee awards banquets, employee training manual photos, outdoor soccer games in daylight, and pet photography.


• I am confident that I can get some nice shots of most structures or buildings.  If you are looking for indoor real-estate photography, please bid with the understanding that you may be my first indoor real-estate job.  I will work hard to get the results you want. I can set up my iPad to display photos, as I shoot so you could view and request adjustment of the images as I take them.


• I have never shot basketball or other indoor sports, but my Canon 5D Mark III is an excellent camera for indoor sporting events with lower levels of light. You may want to contact me by email to discuss if you have a specific sport (other than outdoor soccer) in mind, before you bid.


• Although not yet something I consider my specialty, I would love to shoot a golf course or any beautiful landscape.


• I highly recommend that you not bid on this item with the goal of using JT for wedding, quinceañera, or Bar Mitzvah.  I have never shot any of these type events and they are better left to those dedicated to this type photography.
