Mulberry Mom, Christy English is the owner & founder of The Bay Area Acting Studio and Christy English Management. Our young actors will work on camera and on stage. They will learn the craft of acting, learn how to audition, build confidence, meet new friends while having a blast! And a special treat for parents -- we will hold a performance on Friday!

Our young actors will learn the difference between Film, TV, and Theater acting styles. Bay Area Acting Studio is the only school in the Bay Area that educates their young actors in the different styles and techniques. Most schools focus just on theater and many of our young actors also want tot work in TV/commercials and film. Casting will not book the child if they are too theatrical for camera. Learning and understanding the styles is crucial.

This academy is designed for all levels of Kids/Teen actors.

SAN JOSE LOCATION AGES: 7-17.
The TV/Film Academy for Kids & Teens is a program created by Bay Area Acting Studio founder, Christy English and directed by Melissa Locsin. This Program is designed for the novice, beginner, intermediate or advanced actor or non actor who just wants to have a great experience. 
 
If you want your child or teen to be involved in a creative, educational and engaging winter program then this is the place for them. Our young attendees will be trained and prepared to act in television or film whether they want to just have a fun experience or if they are preparing to work in the entertainment industry. 
 
Our attendees will learn the Meisner acting technique, Improv, cold readings, working with scripts that cover television, film and commercials plus acting in front of the camera! Attendees will have their final performance filmed and will be given a copy (they will be able to add to their reel)! 
 
Our young attendees will be trained and prepared to act in television or film whether they want to just have a fun experience or if they are preparing to work in the entertainment industry.
