Description

You are bidding on a framed print by Newton, MA artist Angie Kantola

The artwork in the image was shown at the New Art Center of Newton in 2012 and has a retail value of $175. The framed artwork is 21 x 21 inches and the print is 10 x 10 inches.

Angie Kantola has been an avid experimental printmaker since 2007, after taking up the practice to demonstrate to elementary schoolers that chemistry matters in all parts of life, even art!

Angie particularly enjoys the technical and aesthetic challenges of reduction prints, layered compositions from multiple plates, and has been known to try printmaking with any found object that can hold an inscribed line. She has a sporadically stocked Etsy store at eastwardarts.etsy.com.

Angie's family moved to West Newton in 2013 and daughter Robin is in fourth grade at Franklin. She and husband Rick are scientists by profession but both enjoy sharing artistic avocations with Robin and her older sister Rosa.
