Description
ALCAT tests for Food Intolerance. Food intolerance is much more common than food allergy and can manifest in digestive disorders, migraines, obesity, chronic fatigue, aching joints, skin disorders, and behavioral issues. It is believed that upwards of 70-80% of the US population has some degree of food intolerance.
The ALCAT 200 Food Panel tests foods most commonly eaten. It includes testing for Gluten Sensitivity, indication of Candida Albicans, and sensitivity to Casein and Whey proteins in Dairy.
This package includes the ALCAT 200 Food Test Panel, the required blood draw, and a 50 minute Results Counseling session with Jill Bryman at Westside Head and Neck in Culver City, CA.
Special Instructions
The ALCAT does not detect IgE-mediated Food Allergy. It specifically evaluates cellular inflammation in response to different foods.
Phlebotomy (blood draw) is required for this test. It can be performed on children, but parents must be aware that results cannot be obtained without phlembotomy.
Results are available about 2 weeks after the phlembotomy session.
