Description

Ever wanted to learn Bojagi, the ancient Korean art of wrapping cloth? Now you can! Bojagi is a traditional Korean patchwork textile used for wrapping gifts and other items. In this workshop led by Bay Area artist Youngmin Lee, who has worked with the Los Angeles County Museum of Art on other bojagi projects, you will learn basic sewing techniques and make your own Bojagi to take home. Delicious desserts and tea will be provided.

Special Instructions

Due to the dexterity needed, participating students must be in sixth through tenth grades. This workshop will take place in the I-Lab on December 6, 2014, from 1 to 4 pm. This is a Count-Me-In event. $100 per spot. Each spot includes one student in sixth through tenth grade and one parent. 10 spots available online. Any remaining spots will be available for purchase at the March 29 auction.
