Establishing consistently great structure, strong yet elegant mountain tannins, Dr. Jan Krupp, has never been disappointed with the fruits from his endeavors. In 2001, we softened the immense tannins in this mountain Merlot by blending in a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon from vines planted higher on the same slope. This wine has been bottled unfined, unfiltered revealing an unaltered expression of Merlot from this unique terroir.
