Iman Asante Shumpert (born June 26, 1990) is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association(NBA). He was selected by the Knicks with the 17th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft. He then went on to have a great rookie year and came in 5th for Rookie of the Year. He is expected to be key in Phil Jackson's plans for an improved Knicks team next season.
