Charleston Artisan Cheesehouse is a true artisan cheese producer located in Charleston, SC. All our products are cultured, mixed, molded, salted, aged, wrapped, labeled, stamped by hand.

The cultures we use duplicate the much-sought-after taste of the raw milk method of making aged dairy products. All of our cheeses have distinct, complex, and lasting flavors. Our products are meant to inspire the simple pleasure of eating healthy, natural, and locally produced foods.

Battery Park:  Our flagship cheese. It is a cross between a Brie cheese and a farm cheese. The outer part of the cheese is creamy and the center is still firm and a little crumbly.  Even though it has a mild bouquet, it has a full range of flavor; sweet, grassy and with just enough salt.  This cheese is aged for three to four weeks

Spice Must Flow:  It is a bloomy rind cheese. It has similar characteristics to the Battery Park,  with the addition of locally sourced  spices like cayenne, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, and more.  The spices play an important role in the texture of this cheese, making it a little firmer than the Battery Park.  It has a little bit of a kick and a mild smoky flavor. This cheese is aged for three to four weeks.

Wild Boar:  It is a cross between a Brie cheese and a farm cheese.  This cheese has wild mushrooms and black truffles incorporated into the curd. The mild flavor of the cheese works out perfectly with the woody and earthy taste of the mushrooms, which is complemented by the unique black truffle aroma. This cheese is aged for three weeks.
