2008 Martinelli Zio Tony Ranch Chardonnay, Russian River Valley (93 points Robert Parker) "Honeyed tropical fruit, brioche, roasted hazelnut, and floral characteristics are found in the Chardonnay Zio Tony Ranch along with a voluptuous texture, good acidity, and a subtle touch of new oak. This is the fullest, richest, most intense of Martinelli’s Chardonnays. Ready to drink now."
2008 Celani Family Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley. (92 points Wine Spectator) This bottle is signed by none other than Tom and Vicki Celani. "Rich and extracted, with dense full-blown, chewy layers of current, blackberry, mineral, sage and cedar flavors. Vibrant aromas of cassis. Lush and sweet. Creamy without coming across as weighty. Finishes with broad velvety tannins. The intense flavors continue through to a long lingering finish. Enjoy this 2008 Cabernet now or over the next 10 years. Aged 20 months in new French oak barrels."
2005 Goldeneye Anderson Valley Pinot Noir, Mendocino County (of the Duckhorn family). "This well-balanced, medium-weight wine offers bright acidity and a long, satisfying finish. The aroma is rich and evocative of dark cherries, nutmeg, caramelized apple, cinnamon, and clove. On the palate, it is full of plum, spice, cherry, strawberry, and vanilla oak layers. Though delicate and understated, this wine's compelling force of flavor, weight, and potent spice create a depth and density that cannot be missed. It is firmly balance but fully expressed and easy to taste even now, and it will make very fine drinking over the next several years." Drink now until 2018.
The wines have been stored in a wine cellar, and have an excellent provenance.
