Al Horford, playing center and forward, signed with the Hawks in 2007. While injury has kept him from completing the 2012 and 2013 seasons, his previous play was astounding. In college, he was starting center on Florida Gators teams that won back-to-back NCAA championships in 2006 and 2007. Because of his talent and accomplishments, he was the third player chosen in the 2007 NBA draft.  During the first five seasons of his Hawks career, he was a first string center with impressive stats who was twice sent to the All Star game.
