David Secunda started Avid4 Adventure to inspire kids to have a life-long love of outdoor activity and to teach them to be stewards of our environment. With declining youth participation in sports, decreasing budgets in schools for physical education, and increasing screen time, he saw a need to get our kids outside and also teach the skills to set them on a trajectory of lifelong participation.

Our camps give kids both an entry point and a progression of skills training in a wide variety outdoor adventure activities such as mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, and paddling. From helping a 3- year-old achieve better balance on a strider bike to teaching a 12-year-old to navigate single track terrain, we build kids’ skills, confidence, grit, and determination so they thrive in a life outdoors. Our staff–all age 21+, highly certified, deeply experienced, and extensively trained–create the right safety-oriented environment for kids to develop these skills. Another key goal of David's has been that our camps are logistically easy for parents. As a parent himself, he knowa how challenging it is to manage all of the activities for our kids. Early drop-off, after care, and easy to order nutritious lunches (coming soon to CA!) are available at camp, providing welcome relief for busy parents. All of our day camp programs meet locally, so travel time is minimized for your family. Additionally, all of our day camp locations now serve grades Pre-K – 7, so that there can be just one drop off point for siblings of all ages.
