Passionate about astronomy, Mowbray and his telescopes have scanned the night skies above Southern Nevada for decades.  Capturing on film the last solar eclipse of the 20^th century and the first lunar eclipse of the 21^st century, Mowbray’s photographs of the comets and planetary conjunctions have been well received by visitors to the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, displayed at the Nevada State Museum and Historical Society in Las Vegas and featured in several publications.                                                                                   © John H.  Mowbray
