Charlie Hallowel, a Chez Panisse alum, who produces great pizza at Pizzaiolo and Boot and Shoe Service, adds fuel to the hottest trend in cooking: the open fire.
Located just down the road from the Grand Lake Theatre this is a perfect spot for a date night. Delicious food focusing on hearth-cooked locally sourced foods in sauces from around the world. Dishes include a grilled bone-in ribeye with chimichurri, lamb kebabs, and roasted brussels sprouts. A raw bar is also a big component, with crudos and local oysters; there are also some raw meat dishes like lamb tartare and beef carpaccio. On the drinks side you will enjoy with a full cocktail menu and good-sized back bar.
