Debra began her professional riding career in Europe where she trained with some of the legendary names in dressage --Conrad Shumacher, Patrick Le Rolland, Nuno Oliveira, George Theodorescu, Kyra Kyrklund, Harry Boldt, Klaus Balkenhol-- and competed extensively in Europe representing the U.S.A. on the international circuit. Among her numerous achievements is the training of multiple FEI horses through to Grand Prix and who then attained long listed status for the U.S. team. Debra emphasizes the partnership of horse and rider at all levels based upon a systematic approach. Developing winning combinations with both amateurs and professionals alike, at all levels, is a clear testament on the success of her training system. Her training protocol is to maximize the horse's potential while enhancing the rider's skills, and is based on consistent encouragement, combining dressage classicism with modern sensibilities, and a keen awareness of the horse's mental and physical capabilities. Debra is a USDF Bronze, Silver and Gold Medalist and has earned her Bronze and Silver Young riders German Reit Abzeichnen based on dressage, jumping and theory examination. Above all, she strives to create and embellish a partnership of trust, based on respect and kindness.
