This spectacular sterling silver cake knife was made in Birmingham, England and is the must have item for any bride-to-be ("Something old, something new..."). It has exquisite and rich detailing, on both the handle and the blade. According to its silvermarks it was made in 1852 by John Gilbert & Co. and measures 13" long and approximately 1 1/2" at its widest point.
