Vintage Half Gallon Greenwell Dairy Milk Bottle

Description
Greenwell Dairy was started in Waimea by Norman Greenwell. The art for the dairy's bottles and cartons was done by the late well known artist, Jacque Johnson, also from Waimea. As you can see on this bottle a cow is printed on the front and back but, later on when they used the cardboard cartons, the name "Maudie" was printed under the cows face. Norman's mother's name was also Maud. Coincidence? When the dairy was sold all of the bottles and "pogs" (milkcaps) were taken to the dump and destroyed. That's what makes these bottles so valuable. This one is even more rare, being a large half gallon size, not a quart or half pint.
