Asami Suzuki Newman has been practicing massage therapy for over 12 years. She is a Hawaii State Licensed Massage Therapist and has been certified in Zen Shiatsu in Japan.
Shiatsu in Japanese means "finger pressure". Shiatsu practitioners believe in a vital energy called qi that flows through the body, and that their manual manipulations of finger and palm pressure, stretches, and other massage techniques can help to unblock it and so help the body heal itself.
