Description
This is a stunning yet serene watercolor of the historic "Dairy at Kealapuali" on the mauka slopes of Hualalai and was created by well-known Hawaii artist Terry Cisco.
Terry was born and raised in Honolulu. As a child he drew and sketched. Over the years he was exposed to the works of Hawaii artists Hitchcock, Sexton, Marek and Haward. While earning his masters in Architecture school he also minored in drawing and painting. After his registration as an architect in New Mexico and Hawaii he continued his interests in the arts but it wasn't until he moved to Kailua Kona in 1980 that he started using watercolors as a medium. He felt that the brightness that can be achieved with watercolors was a good fit for the land and waterscapes of the Kona Coast. Spending time outside on location, mixed with time spent body surfing or snorkeling was a great way to envelope himself in the experience of each location.
This watercolor is framed in solid Hawaiian koa wood, double matted on 100% rag paper with UV glass. It measures 14" x 18".
