In 2012/13, Northside sponsored a Beekeeping Colloquium in partnership with North Park Village Nature Center.

On Sunday, June 22nd, from 1:00-3:00 pm, Sean Shaffer, Northside parent and Education Naturalist at North Park Village Nature Center, will discuss the tools, techniques and the challenges bees face in the city as well as the world and get a taste of honey fresh from their hive in North Park's apiary.
