Description

A lovely set of 10 cards with envelopes, depicting a quilt of Chicago Neighborhoods created and donated by the NCP students in the "Sew What" colloquium.

The original quilt will be live-auctioned the night of the Gala. (See item 88 under "live auction")

First Semester students completed the front (containing handmade squares depicting Chicago neighborhoods) and second semester students will attach and quilt it.

Over 50 NCP students have participated in the construction and many students spent between 7-20 hours hand-stitching a square. For many students, this was their first experience with sewing.

Their teacher Ms. Lisa Volesky says, "This quilt is so charming in that it truly is the NCP community pulling together!"
