Description

2011 Grenache, le vent sauvage qui souffle (Arroyo Seco AVA) -  Aromas of dark fruit, fennel and cracked peppercorns. Cherry and simple spice flavors prevail. Naturally low in tannins, consider serving this medium bodied red wine chilled (55°F) as an aperitif or pair with sardines, charcuterie, kalamata olives, porcini mushrooms, barbecue + grilled sausages & backyard picnic fare. The name refers to the fierce cooling winds that routinely blow throughout the afternoons in the renowned Arroyo Seco sub-AVA west of Greenfield in Monterey County. Blend: 95% Grenache & 5% Syrah

151 cases produced, harvested October 19th 2011 and bottled in December 2012.
