Description
The Discovery Museums' Traveling Science Workshops serve over 26,000 children every year. They are a classroom-based--not auditorium-based--set of 18 hands-on workshops that get students excited about science and help teachers expand their science teaching skills. Dynamic educators excite curiosity and a passion for science with fun, hands-on discovery. The program is convenient, affordable and rich with curriculum connections.

Click here for more information about Traveling Science Workshops, and here, for details about the different workshops. They include: Green Energy, Bubbles, Sound, Dinosaur, Light & Color, Magnets, Electromagnets, Static Electricity, Light & Lasers, Physical Changes of Matter, Kitchen Chemistry, Flight, Microscopes & Magnification, Rocks & Minerals, Simple Machines: The Lever, and Weather.
Every workshop has materials that are necessary for the program presentation, and they need to be replenished and refreshed as they are used up or become worn. Beakers, flashlights, rocks, minerals, magnets, and perishables like bananas and chrysanthemums, all help make science fun for kids. Please help us reach more kids with the wonders of science and keep the Traveling Science Workshops going strong with new materials!
