Marine Coolers are essential tools for making science come alive in The Discovery Museums' Traveling Science Workshops. The workshops serve over 27,000 kids every year, and Physical Changes of Matter is our most popular program – 1/3 of all Traveling Science Workshops-primarily because the materials are not readily accessible to teachers.

Marine coolers are used to transport dry ice, and are sturdier and better insulated than standard coolers. Dry ice is the solid form of carbon dioxide, and helps show the different states of matter to kids in a dramatic, exciting way!
