Established in 1951, by March 2008, the company had 2,254 stores in 90 countries. The show “COATS! Max Mara, 60 years of Italian Fashion” opened in 2006 and was hosted by some of the most important and prestigious museums in the world, including the Staatliche Museen in Berlin, the Mori Arts Center in Tokyo, il National Art Museum of China and the State Historical Museum in Moscow.
