Three tips for a better men’s shave
Prepare the Skin: For maximum comfort, Kiehl’s recommends shaving after a warm bath or shower so your pores are relaxed and facial hair is softer. To create a similar effect, you may also apply a damp, warm towel to the face prior to shaving. Use the Kiehl’s facial scrub appropriate for your skin type to soften and lift the hair from your face for an easier, closer shave and to minimize ingrown hairs.
Best Application Method: Smooth on shave cream without water. A thin layer of one of our rich formulas is all that is needed — a thick layer will make shaving more difficult and may clog the razor. Be sure to massage the product thoroughly onto the skin so that all areas are covered, which will ensure maximum protection against the impact of shaving. Glide razor carefully across the neck and beard area.
Protect the Skin: After shaving, apply a soothing treatment, such as our Men’s Alcohol-Free Toner or Calendula Toner, applied with sterile cotton, followed by the Kiehl’s after–shave moisturizer most suitable to your skin type.
