Description

Eloise Larson describes her work as both a "direct and indirect result of my Buddhist practice of meditation, dharma study and living."

The print "I Am the Tathagata" is based on Ms. Larson's reading of several translations of The Lion's Roar of Queen Srimala. She was asked to give a talk about her at a women in Buddhism celebration at Shasta Abbey Monastery in Mt. Shasta. A series of prints came naturally in her preparation for the talk and were used to explain what had come from her study. They are titled, “Deluded by the Dharma #1 and #2”, “I Am the Tathagata”, “Nescience Entrenchment”,” The Four Defilements” and “The Active Defilements”.

Medium: Monotype on paper
