Description

Not Quite Nirvana: A Skeptic's Journey to Mindfulness is the story of how skeptical, fast-talking New Yorker Rachel Neumann became Thich Nhat Hanh's editor, turned 40, realized she was aging, and slowly and reluctantly started to absorb mindfulness practice and grow up.

Rachel has been with Parallax Press since 2003 and is the primary editor for Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. She is the author of Not Quite Nirvana: A Skeptic’s Journey to Mindfulness and writes for a variety of magazines including Shambhala Sun, AlterNet, and The Nation. She reads anything that stands still long enough.

Parallax Press is the premier publisher of Thich Nhat Hanh, offering works for beginners, experienced practitioners, children, and families. It also publishes other important authors on socially engaged Buddhism, including the Dalai Lama, Joanna Macy, and Sister Chan Khong.

Parallax is an important partner of the Shambhala Sun Foundation. Please visit their website, and consider supporting their work by joining Friends of Parallax Press.
