Ms. Haile says, "I make art because I have to. Otherwise I’d be lost in stories that aren’t true, but nonetheless convincingly powerful. My art practice is a vehicle that helps me remember that perceived dualities aren't real. I have spent the last 30 years observing and recording my ordinary experiences through the storyboard of visual languages with an intent to create work that speaks to a universal narrative inherent to life. My aim is to engage the audience with sensory and poetic qualities in works that question what it means to consciously observe, and therefore wholly experience being human." Haile maintains a full-time studio practice and lives in Nashville, Tennessee. She finds that with nature as her muse, she has the best chance of recasting her stories.
