Golf at Columbus Country Club, some of the best golf facilities in Central Ohio. No other club has such a historic course along with a top practice range and a Par 3 Executive Course. Donald Ross Championship Golf Course Columbus Country Club's golf course is know throughout the state as one of the finest classic courses as it was built in 1907, then redesigned by the incomparable Donald Ross in 1916. The course has been updated over the years in order to stay ahead of the technological advances in both golf equipment and turf management, including rebuilding all the greens and ensuring the course meets all USGA standards. Today, the beautiful 6,968 yard par 72 course with its tree-lined fairways and challenging greens is a sourse of pride for the Club and its staff. 9-Hole Par 3 "Executive" Course In 1965, there was the addittion of the 9-hole Par 3 course. Here many children have been introduced to the wonderful game of golf. Women and men members often improve their short game in this private, un-intimidating environment. It is also a perfect setting for a quick round, honing one's short game or for a fun family contest. We are proud to be the only private club in Central Ohio to offer a Par 3 course. Practice Facilities The Practice Range is the best in Central Ohio. In the fall of 2001, a new practice range with bent-grass target ghreens was installed and available to members from April through October. It showcases a large hitting area with five target greens, a wide chipping green with elevation, and deep sand bunkers. The Club's ground crew pays special attention to the turf in order to provide the best possible practice surface.
