A supportive and enthusiastic coach as well as an experienced teacher and editor, I help students navigate the college application process, and enjoy themselves along the way! Working with a high school junior or senior, I can support Time management:

-Focus and streamline the application process

-Manage deadlines and requirements

-Relieve student (and parent) stress Application essay preparation

-Guide process from brainstorming through drafting, revision and editing

-Nurture ideas that students care about, producing genuine essays written in their own voices

-Develop a strategic plan for writing fewer, stronger essays

-Evaluate complete applications before submission

At the first meeting, we will assess the student's needs and interests and develop a plan. We can work in person, by phone, e-mail or Skype. Between our meetings I will review essay drafts and respond with suggestions for revision. This donation includes 5 additional hours of coaching, including essay review. Over twenty years of teaching experience at the college and high school level, and degrees from Yale University (Ph. D. English) and Brown University (A.B. History, A.B. American Civilization).
