Falling in love with media work during his time at Syracuse University, Tom has had a long and varied career that has also included stints as a radio, TV and newspaper journalist, and as an advertising and cable television executive. One of his passions in life has become teaching media literacy, which he says is as important as reading, writing and arithmetic. Recently retired from his career as a professor, Tom is now free to enjoy his many passions, including engaging the winner of this spectacular experience over lunch discussing all things media (and maybe a few other topics as well)!
