Chickpeas are a staple of Mediterranean cuisine and feature prominently in many delicious Lebanese dishes. This nutritious bean, high in protein and fiber, can be prepared and enjoyed in a variety of ways.

Join Hala, former OFS parent, as she shares her love of cooking with a group of 4 adults as she teaches them some classic chickpea recipes. Learn how to prepare three authentic Lebanese dishes:

Hummus: The famous and beloved chickpea dip, made with tahini, lemon juice, garlic and olive oil

Balila: Cooked whole chickpeas seasoned with garlic, olive oil, and cumin that can be served as a main dish or a side.

Fattet Hummus: Chickpea casserole layered with pita chips, cooked whole chickpeas, and cover in yogurt sauce with tahini and garlic.

This is a culinary treat you won't want to miss!
