Description

Spend a week this summer (May through September, 2014) in a house in the beautiful resort town of Calpe, Spain.

Only 1.5 miles from the Mediterranean, "Casa Pied-à-Terre" is a delightful 2-bedroom, 2-en suite bathroom villa, five minutes by car from the town, beaches, restaurants, bars, a shopping area, a marina with scuba diving, sailing, windsurfing, catamaran, etc.

Sip a glass of Rioja on the large terrace with cozy lighting, while enjoying the best view in the area: the famous Penon d'Ifach (the name of the big rock in Calpe).

Enjoy great walks along the rocky and sandy shoreline that connect 14 different beaches (some "remote"). Take great day trips to beautiful old cities such as Altea and Guadelest (town with old castle).

Fly into Alicante, just under an hour's drive away, or Valencia, less than two hours by car. Barcelona is four hours away, and Madrid approx. a 5-6 hour drive.

The house has recently been renovated and modifications include an outdoor terrace, an outdoor shower (hot and cold), AC/heating, a gas and a coal BBQ, a washing machine, a dishwasher, a large fridge, new beds and bedding, new bathrooms, and more.

The small print: There’s no swimming pool. However, you can have pool access across the street for additional money if desired. The kitchen is tiny (see picture). There’s no Internet (yet), but lots of Internet cafés in town.

Nonsmoking only. Rental includes linens.
