Megan McLarney has worked as an artist since 2002. Her work features landscapes and elements of the natural world. She has created many multi-monitor artworks, which can be seen on permanent display at the Los Angeles International Airport, the Margulies Collection, the Sundari Foundation, and the Sagamore Hotel in Miami Florida, as well as the Saint Lukes Breast Cancer Center in Kansas City Missouri, and Baker Botts law firm in Dallas Texas. McLarney has been included in various art shows in such places as the Museum at FIT, the California College of the Arts, Guild & Greyshkul, Mary Boone Gallery, Sikkema Jenkins & Co., D’Amelio Terras, and Cohan & Leslie. She has also been an artist-in-residence at Yaddo, the Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation, and twice at the MacDowell Colony. Megan’s work is in private collections throughout the United States and Europe.
McLarney is a Children’s Garden Instructor at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and at P.S. 89 in Tribeca. She is a volunteer at various schools, including Edible Schoolyard NYC, a member of the St. Marks community garden, a citizen pruner, and a mom.
McLarney hold a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and a Horticulture Certificate from the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri in 1975 and has lived and worked in New York City since 1997.
