7 inch hand-thrown vase by Allie Loehlin.

Allie Loehlin has studied pottery on both East and West coasts. Her studio has been in her Wellesley, MA home since 1975.

She produces cooking and serving dishes, as well as more decorative pieces, such as vases, lamp bases, candlesticks and tiles. Inspiration for her designs comes from nature and a variety of folk art traditions from around the world.

Allie's work is all functional, high-fired white stoneware. Each piece is individually thrown on an electric potter's wheel. It is then hand decorated with brushed underglazes.  After a bisque firing, each piece is dipped in a clear glaze and fired in an electric kiln to 2200 degrees F.

Each pot is dishwasher and microwave safe, ovenproof and lead free.
