This beautiful necklace from EllenL Jewelry was made from Lapis stones to hang at a number of different lengths on a gold filled chain.

EllenL jewelry appeals to women who can’t be placed in just one “category” of design or taste preferences.  She identifies with more than one fashion style, and that’s just the beginning…. she may be a long distance runner and very artistic; she is attracted by all things vintage and the latest; she loves dogs and cats; she’s part hippie and preppy; and, she is into Jazz Fest and Broadway musicals. The EllenL woman is free and open to many divergent influences and tastes and won’t be pinned down for a moment about anything!

Ellen lived in Los Angeles where she apprenticed under jewelry designers Melinda Maria and Chan Luu.  While in L.A., she studied various techniques of design at UCLA. After California, she moved to South Carolina where she spent valuable time apprenticing for her remarkable aunt, Melanie Mauldin, and her expanding fashion jewelry business, Handpicked. Today she is back home in New Orleans, doing this work she loves. With all the knowledge acquired from these fresh experiences, as well as an urge to explore her creativity, EllenL became a second nature expression of her chosen path.
