Some Reviews:

"WOW - this place is heaven and the hosts are one of the best parts, but the place is amazing too.

We like to stay in awesome apartments that are off the beaten path. This way you get a terrific place (I always need parking, a/c and internet) and so much more room when you are more open to smaller unknown cities.

Matelica is that - it's pretty central to the cute little city, you can walk to lots of restaurants, although our hosts made a ton of amazing suggestions, we could have stayed so much longer. The highlight was the country restaurant Pappafo. Not to be missed - amazing location and views in the country and a real kitchen, great menu and very reasonable prices.

The house itself is better than the pictures, it's hard to show the layout but it felt so good, like a real home. Parking right out front, very secure gate and locks. The downstairs kitchen has everything you need and they are very generous and attentive to welcoming you and having everything ready. Nice dining room table and tv / couch in the kitchen.

Up a floor is that beautiful room with the piano and larger couch. There's a huge balcony and another place to eat outside too. So much space. The bathrooms are the best. The whole place is well appointed and very thought out. We enjoyed the master with ensuite bathroom, and the kids liked having their own bathroom and kid friendly tub. Second bedroom had another huge bed and lots of closet space like the other. A third bedroom was so ready for another child, if you have a baby, it has everything you need, toys, diaper changing table, even kid books on the bottom shelf and a swing on the patio.

The a/c worked really well, which I so appreciate traveling in the summer. If you are lucky enough to stay here, book more time than you think. There's so much to do.

OK, I think homeaway should write a feature on this property. They have a binder to welcome you with lots of tips, extra things you might need, fresh flowers and fruit, every detail was just lovely. The LOFT - we love the loft! Thank you Deborah and Roberto! It was a pleasure to be in your home."

"Our family rented the house for 10 days in September 2011. We wanted to find a location in central Le Marche that had all the modern conveniences, and was within walking distance to stores\shopping. The Loft provided all of this and more.

As per the pictures and reviews provided on the website, the Loft was beautifully decorated, very clean and well maintained. The kitchen had all modern appliances and even came complete with condiments, trash bags, cleaners, utensils, etc.etc.The bedrooms had clean, comfortable beds and had plenty of closet space. The living room was very cozy at nights when the family gathered around the large couch to watch a movie on the big screen TV. The computer\internet station was comfortable and the service was reliable. The library was well stocked and something in it for everyone.

Matelica was a great little town that had everything we were looking for. Our kids just loved the park which was a 1 minute walk away. All of the restaurants that are listed on the website were fantastic and were also an easy walk away. And compared to the prices in Rome or Florence, they were very reasonable. The shopping mall\supermarket was a 5 minute drive away which had everything a family might need. The café\gelateria were right across the street from the loft and we’re very handy for a quick cappucino\pastries in the mornings. (The kids loved the pastries!) Matelica was close to the places we wanted to visit on our trip. Umbria and the Ancona beaches were an easy drive away.

Both the Marcucci’s and the house manager, were very nice and provided any help they could, both before and during our vacation to make our trip more comfortable. We highly recommend the loft and we’re looking forwards to our return trip."

"Italy's best kept secret ... We were looking for a special place in Italy where we could indulge our senses and enjoy some luxury that was affordable. We found it in this stunning loft property in Matelica The property was in pristine 5 star condition, with the latest designed bathrooms, soft cotton sheets, a knockout huge Italian kitchen, huge TV plasma and there was even a beautiful piano! We split our time between the incredible restaurants in the area and cooking local Italian produce in the amazing kitchen where we would enjoy long indulgent dinners.

The surrounding areas of the property are stunning and we went for daily walks there as well as taking  a trip to nearby Umbria. We returned the following year having held such wonderful memories and this time incorporated Wine tasting and a trip to Florence. We plan to return to the property later in the year with friends who have a baby as the property is child friendly. The owners Roberto and Deborah are delightful and gave us great tips on where to eat and go. If you want to escape to the heart of Italy and unwind in beautiful surroundings this is hard to beat."
