One of the least disturbed natural areas in New York City, Breezy Point Surf Club sits within the isolated, westernmost tip of the Rockaway Peninsula. Transferred to the National Park Service in 1972, this area features over two hundred acres of ocean-front beach, bay shoreline, sand dunes, marshes and coastal grasslands all within New York City.
