Reel Stories Media Camp gives high school-age girls the storytelling and production skills to tell stories that inspire them, and to broadcast their stories to the world. This one-week camp is led and taught by current, high-powered female leaders in the media industry. Utilizing accessible technology and distribution of their stories through local film festivals and social media, the Reel Stories Media Camp demonstrates to campers how important and easy it is to be an active participant in the media. Campers will work in teams to write, direct and edit their own short film in the space of one week! Camp Reel Stories is held at Oakland School of the Arts, and is open to girls 13-18 years old. Winning bidder may choose one of two weeks: June 16-21, or July 14-19, 2014.
