Hana, of Poutugal, has not only donated her craft, but her concern for Lolita with this journal, she has a back order of work to do, but took the time from her busy schedule to help raise funds for Lolita's cause.
Blank journal for Lolita with covers from reclaimed wood , hand carved, hand bound with recycled paper.
The covers of this mid sized journal are made from piece of old Portuguese secretary that already fallen into pieces. The beautiful wood has been cleaned from all varnish, cut and sanded into smoothness. It has the word Lolita hand carved at the front cover and orca image at the back cover. Finally the wood has been treated with bee´s wax.
The book contains 72 sheets / 144 pages of heavy recycled paper. The spine is decorated and protected by washi tape. The book can be opened completely flat.
With some skill, you can bind in new sheets once these are all filled. This way, the resistant covers could be used almost for eternity ..
