Located near the Cedar Lee Theater on Cleveland’s East Side, Lemon Grass Thai Restaurant provides a welcome change of pace from American grill and bar restaurants that dot the area. Upscale yet laid-back, Lemon Grass offers a diverse menu of traditional Thai dishes that are as beautiful as they are delicious.

The main dining area features two stories of windows that provide a great place for people-watching. The décor is simple and non-distracting, allowing guests to focus on the tastes and smells of their favorite entrees and appetizers, which are made with fresh, natural ingredients.

A full-service bar features and extensive wine list as well as several kinds of Thai beer, teas and coffees. You can order form a lengthy menu of traditional cocktails such as Long Island iced teas and several kinds of martinis.

An array of light soups and salads provides a great way to start off any meal at Lemon Grass, as is a delicious chicken sauté with peanut sauce. A house-exclusive menu features items that can only be found at Lemon Grass: dishes such as Seafood Choo-Chee, a medley of shrimp, squid and scallops with cashews, celery and mushrooms;  Lemon Grass Treasure (a favorite),  a combination of seafood in hot chili sauce with peppers and onions; and chicken with pine nuts and a spicy ginger marinade.

The Lemon Grass menu even features several roasted duck entrées, such as Masaman Curry Duck, a spicy dish featuring green peppers, sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, peanuts and crunchy onions, and Chili Duck with pineapple, tomatoes and mushrooms.

Be sure to leave room for Lemon Grass’ famous sticky rice with toasted mango — a sweet treat that has a leg-up on traditional desserts. The restaurant also features homemade coconut ice cream.
