Zach Benkowski is a professional percussionist and vocalist based in Chicago.  He is currently the drummer for indie rock band Hemmingbirds, as well as a member of the Chicago Chamber Choir. Zach is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he studied percussion and voice.  His teaching expertise is in drumset and snare drum rudiments.  Past musical groups include the University of Illinois Concert Choir, No Strings Attached A Cappella, Southshore Concert Band, and the State Champion Lakeshore Lancer Marching Band.  Zach can accommodate students of any skill level, and will travel to you with practice pads or a small practice drumset.
