Two (2) tickets and VIP passes to the Waterfront Park Tent for Maceo Parker on Thursday, June 5 during the 2014 Burlington Discover Jazz Festival. 

Doors and Nectar's VT Grill at 5 pm, music at 6 pm. The VIP passes will allow access to our hospitality tent, which including complimentary food and beverages.

The name Maceo Parker is synonymous with funk music. First as the lynchpin of James Brown's band and then as a crew member of the Parliament-Funkadelic Mothership, Parker's soulful playing and vocals have established him as “one of the all-time great saxophonists” (San Jose Mercury News). Now as a bandleader, Parker spreads the gospel of groove, a dedicated entertainer who believes in the almighty power of funk. Parker is one of the most sampled musicians in history, and the recipient of a Pioneer Award from the Rhythm and Blues Foundation. As James Brown would say, "Maceo, I want you to blow!"

Also featuring Fredericks Brown: The NYC-based duo draws on their wide-ranging cultural heritage: vocalist Deva Mahal, daughter of the legendary Taj Mahal, channels her rich organic soul and blues roots, while keys player Steph Brown shimmers with the sublime grooves of her native New Zealand.
